Douglas "Doug" Dean Wheaton's Obituary
Douglas Dean "Doug" Wheaton, 70, died March 4, 2014, at Hospice House, Hutchinson. He was born July 27, 1943, in Dodge City, the son of Ray and Sybil Delp Wheaton.
He was a graduate of Lewis High School and Hutchinson Community College, a veteran of the United States Navy and retired from Carey Salt Company.
He is survived by his sister, Beverly White and husband Doyle, Texarkana, Texas, nieces and nephews and special friend, Silvia Sterling, Hutchinson. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Clarence.
Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Monday, March 10, 2014, in Wayne Cemetery, Lewis, Kan., with Pastor Eldon Smith presiding. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday, March 9, 2014, at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice House, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
