Doyle P. Perser, 73, went to be with the Lord on Oct. 23, 2013, at Peabody Care Center. He was born Sept. 30, 1940, to John and Mary (Miller) Perser in Coffeyville, Kan.

He worked for Grain Spouting, Bett's Bakery, Krause, and Doskocil. He was a member of Riverside Baptist Church.

On Jan. 18, 1971, he married Maxine Hicks. She survives.

Other survivors include: son, Michael Perser and wife Brenda of Nowata, Okla.; daughters, Patti Schartz of Wichita, Kan., Pam Scrivner, Carolyn Herren, Sharon Crowe and husband Michael, Hutchinson, Kan.; granddaughter, Cassie Compton; brothers, Bob Perser and wife Jo of Hutchinson, Kan., Jerry Perser and wife Mary of Baldwin Park, Calif.; sister, Marilyn Sunseri of Plymouth, Minn.; 12 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Doyle Perser II; two brothers, Albert and Johnny Perser; and an infant sister, Frances.

Funeral services will be 9:30 a.m. Monday, Oct. 28, 2013, at Riverside Baptist Church, Hutchinson, with Pastor Richard Haley presiding. Burial will follow at 3 p.m. Monday, Oct. 28, 2013, in Martin Cemetery, Childers, Okla. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday through Sunday with the family to receive friends from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.
