Duane Dean Kaufman's Obituary
Duane Dean Kaufman, 84, passed away to be with our Lord and his loving wife, Doris, on Nov. 29, 2014. He was born Dec. 18, 1929, in McPherson, to Phil Bert and Alice (Krehbiel) Kaufman.
He graduated from McPherson High School, Bethel College and Emporia State University, where he played basketball and football. Duane enjoyed golf and was a master bridge player.
On June 9, 1950, he married Doris Siemens in Buhler. She died Jan. 23, 2002. He is survived by: children, Doug Kaufman (Jolene), Don Kaufman (Kathy), Dee Ann Riley (Ron); 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Duane was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Phil Bert and Robert Keith.
Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2014, at Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson, with Pastor Eric Miller officiating. Burial will follow in Fairlawn Mausoleum, Hutchinson. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the mortuary.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Band of Angels at Journey Mennonite Church or Wesley Towers Good Samaritan Fund, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
