E. Maynard Moore's Obituary
E. Maynard Moore, 91, died Dec. 6, 2007, at Buhler Sunshine Home, Buhler.
He was born Sept. 13, 1916, in Hutchinson, the son of Eugene C. and Carrie L. Farthing Moore. He graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1934. A resident of Hutchinson since 1978, moving from Salina, he was an engineer for Boeing for 20 years, and retired from Williams Construction, Salina.
He belonged to First Baptist Church, Hutchinson.
In 1942, he married his first wife, and they had five children. On Nov. 4, 1967, he married Doris M. Seaman in Wichita. She survives.
Other survivors include: two sons, Marvin and wife Barbara, Farmington, N.M., and Scott, Wichita; two daughters, Cathy Dyson, Wichita, and Carol Shelter, Farmington, N.Y.; a sister, Marjorie Jeffrey, Emporia; two nephews, Doyle Seaman and Mike Jeffrey; a niece, Nadine Wall; and a cousin, Wally Farthing.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Marilyn Moore; and two sisters, Velma Moore and Lois Kirkhuff.
Funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at First Baptist Church, Hutchinson, with the Rev. Stephen M. Taylor and Pastor Gerald Salmans presiding. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. Burial will be in Fairlawn Burial Park, Hutchinson.
Memorials may be sent to First Baptist Church or Interfaith Housing, both in care of the mortuary.
