Edna K. Cottle, 81, went to meet her Lord Dec. 29, 2005, at Thorne Care Center, Wesley Towers, Hutchinson.
She was born June 1, 1924, in Lawton, Okla., the daughter of James M. and Cordelia Avery Nelson. She graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1943 and Adela Hale Business College in 1960. A longtime Hutchinson resident, she was a bookkeeper and homemaker.
She was a member of First Assembly of God Church.
On Aug. 31, 1945, she married Charles R. "Bob" Cottle in Wichita. He survives.
Other survivors include: a daughter, Cheryl Chambers, Derby; a sister, Audrey Nevius, Arkansas City; a grandson; and two great-grandsons.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Claude Nelson.
Funeral will be at noon Tuesday at First Assembly of God Church, with Pastor Paul Thurston presiding. Friends may sign the register from noon to 9 p.m. Saturday and from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. Burial will be in Fairlawn Burial Park.
