Edna M. Scott, 93, died Oct. 14, 2005, at Hutchinson Hospital.
She was born Oct. 14, 1912, in Esbon, in Jewel County, the daughter of William and Lena Hoffman Kniesteadt. A South Hutchinson resident since 1972, she worked at JC Penney as a cashier and accounts receivable clerk for 15 years in Concordia and Colby, and was a beautician in Harper for 10 years.
She belonged to South Hutchinson United Methodist Church.
On April 18, 1932, she married Jacob Cole in Beloit. He died March 14, 1956. On Aug. 7, 1971 she married Walter M. "Scotty" Scott in Concordia. He survives.
Other survivors include: a son, William "Bill" Cole and his wife, Julie, Green Bay, Wis.; seven grandchildren, Christopher Cole, Gerald Cole, Leslie Windorff, Sam Brandt, Becky Heney, Tom Brandt and Sara Brandt; 10 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by four brothers; and three sisters.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at South Hutchinson United Methodist Church, with Pastor Richard E. Zimmerman presiding. Graveside service will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Concordia, with the Rev. Gay Robertson presiding. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Lions Club or South Hutchinson United Methodist Church, both in care of the funeral home.
