Edna Mae Wyland, 88, died Jan. 17, 2016, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. She was born March 21, 1927, at Rock Rapids, Iowa, the daughter of Albert and Minnie (Rohlff) Rath.
A Hutchinson resident since 1969, Mae was a homemaker and a member of Crossroads Christian Church. On May 14, 1948, Mae married Murnis Wyland at Rock Rapids, Iowa. He died in 1997. Survivors include: sons, Jim of Hutchinson, Bob (Denise) of Rock Rapids, Iowa, Donn and Doug of Inman; daughters, Pam (Dave) Spears of Valley Center, Patti Wyland (Kevin Fountain) of Nickerson, and Mitzi (Eric) Wright of Moscow, Idaho; granddaughters, Kit Spears (Matt Campbell), Perrin Spears, and Macie Wright; sister, Betty Roach of Rock Rapids, Iowa; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by: her parents; sisters, Neola Strawhacker and Dorothy Snyder; and brothers, Wilbert and Marlin Rath.
Memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 30, 2016, at Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson, with Eric Wright presiding. Private inurnment will be held at Fairlawn Mausoleum, Hutchinson. Friends may sign the memorial book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. today through Saturday at Elliott Mortuary. Memorials may be made to Crossroads Christian Church, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N.
