Edward Noble Housley, 88, died March 31, 2006, at Hutchinson Hospital.
He was born June 11, 1917, in Hominy, Okla., the son of Frank P. and Mary Emma Noble Housley. He graduated from Hominy, Okla., High School. He was a retired oilfield worker for Homestake Oil Company, Burrton, and also worked for Eaton Metal, Builder Supply Company, and the Boardfoot.
He belonged to the First Christian Church, and was a former member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the American Legion, and the Moose Lodge. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
In 1940, he married Maxine Wise at St. Charles, Mo. On Aug. 11, 1969, he married Frances A. Lanning at Hutchinson. She survives.
Other survivors include: three sons, Gary and his wife, Tammy, Hutchinson, Joe and his wife, Faye, Athens, Ga., and Jeff and his wife, Tammie, Sevierville, Tenn.; two daughters, Barbara Collins, Yukon, Okla., and Debra Smith and husband, Gary, Conway; a brother, Jerry and wife, Jan, Salina; 11 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Maxine; a daughter, June Martin; seven brothers and sisters, and a granddaughter, Brandy Housley.There will be no services or visitation. Cremation has taken place.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to the Pioneer Lake Memorial Fund, in care of Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.
