Edward J. Miller, 72, died Aug. 21, 2011, at Promise Regional Medical Center, Hutchinson. He was born Sept. 26, 1938, in Harper County to Walter and Alice Trentman Miller. He graduated from Zenda High School in 1957. A longtime resident of Ellinwood, Edward was an electrician and owned Miller Electric for many years. He belonged to the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Great Bend.
Survivors include: a son, Michael W. Miller and wife Stefanie, Hutchinson; a daughter, Dana Hendrickson and husband Curtis, Hutchinson; a brother, Dean Miller and wife Peggy, Yuma, Colo.; two sisters, Marilyn Bullard and companion Larry Ward, Arkansas and Carol Haruf and husband Verne, Yuma, Colo.; and four grandchildren.
Edward was preceded in death by two brothers, Gale and Gerald Miller, and a sister, JoAnn MacArthur.
Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2011, at Elliott Chapel, with Reverend Richard Brooks officiating. Burial will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Attica Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. Monday and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Elliott Mortuary. Memorials may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, in care of the mortuary.
