Edward D. "Tony" Regier's Obituary
Edward D. "Tony" Regier, 74, died Monday, April 16, 2012. He was born in Hutchinson March 15, 1938, the son of Edward F. and Helena Neufeld Regier.
He was a 1956 graduate of Inman High School, a 1972 graduate of McPherson College, a member of Civitan Club, First Mennonite Church and Kansas Association of Social Workers. Tony was a social worker for over 30 years for the State of Kansas, retiring in 2003.
On April 29, 1960, he married Esther P. Neufeld in Inman. She survives.
Other survivors include: their children, Jonelle Regier of Lenexa, Kendon and his wife Suzanne of Tonganoxie and their children, Jakob Fisher and Holland Maisie Regier. He was preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters, Verna Froese and Helen Ann Neufeld.
His memorial service will be 7 p.m. Friday, April 20, 2012, at First Mennonite Church with Pastors Miles Reimer and Tonya Ramer Wenger officiating. Inurnment will be in the church columbarium. His register book will be available from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. through Friday at Elliott Mortuary and Crematory, Hutchinson.
In lieu of flowers, memorials gifts may be made to the First Mennonite Church or to Hospice of Reno County, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
