Edwin Guy Morford, age 89, passed away peacefully on September 19, 2025. Born on February 18, 1936, in Norton, Kansas, Edwin was a devoted family man who led a life defined by hard work and a love for the open water, where he found freedom and joy gliding across the water on his jet skis.

Edwin was deeply passionate about his family, dedicating himself wholeheartedly to caring for those he loved. His adventurous spirit and love of the outdoors were evident in many ways, especially through his time spent on the water.

He retired from Bett's Rainbow Baking Company in 1998.

He is survived by his children: Guy Morford (Karina), Penny Lindell (Victor), Lee Morford (Brandi), Amy Miller (Jest), Julie Burgess (Jake).

Edwin's legacy continues through his 10 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren, who were a great source of pride and joy in his life.

He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Tottie Mae Morford and Melvin Morford; his brothers, Francis and Lloyd Morford; his sister, Melva Wilcox; his ex-wife, Beverly Morford; and his daughter, Faye Lyn Morford.

We will always remember Ed for his unwavering dedication to those he loved, and the lasting impact he had on his family and community.

Friends may call and visit from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday with the family present from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., at Elliott Mortuary. Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, September 25, 2025, at Elliott Mortuary. Graveside service will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, September 26, 2025, in Memorial Lawn Cemetery, 27490 US Hwy 283, Hill City, KS.
