Obituary

Edythe E. Gould of Hutchinson died Nov. 9, 2010, at Buhler Sunshine Home in Buhler at the age of 94 years, 11 months, 16 days.

She was born at home on the farm in Harper County, the daughter of George W. and Ida Pearl Parker Kimmel.

She attended school in Zenda.

She married Elmer L. Gould on June 12, 1936, in Anthony. She and her husband moved to Hutchinson from Zenda in 1939. She was a member of the South Hutchinson United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women. Edythe was a professional seamstress. She also worked as a clerk at House of Fabrics for 16 years.

Survivors include: three daughters, Patricia Kerwood (Gary), Hutchinson, Sharon Triggs (Charle), Newton, and Pamela Gould (Everette Bennett), Hutchinson; a foster daughter, Louise Gropp, Newburgh, N.Y.; nine grandchildren, Scott Kerwood (Alissa), Huto, Texas, Daniel Kerwood (Michelle), Ocala, Fla., Trey "Eddie" Triggs, Wichita, Nicole Triggs and Molly Triggs, both of Houston, Texas, Aaron Bennett, Hutchinson, Nathan Bennett, Wichita, Jason Bennett (Jessi), Hutchinson, and Jared Bennett, Wichita; 10 great-grandchildren, Ahren Kerwood, Norman, Okla., Jessica Rice (Justin), Wichita, Katelynd William (Justin), Alwyn, Calif., and Abbigail Kerwood, Ocala, Fla., Trevor and Troy Bennett, Hutchinson, Kathrine and Evan Bennett, Hutchinson, Justin and Perry Triggs, Wichita; and one great-great-granddaughter, Josslyn Rice, Wichita. She was preceded in death by Elmer, her husband of 61 years, on Aug. 23, 1997, her parents, and two brothers Raymond Kimmel, Hutchinson, and Ronald "Buddy" Kimmel, Yountville, Calif.

Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Monday, Nov. 15, 2010, at South Hutchinson United Methodist Church with the Revs. Tim Ault-Duell and Bill Stephens presiding. Burial will be in Penwell-Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum. Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, with the family present to greet friends Sunday 4 to 6 p.m., all at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.
