Eileen M. O'Sullivan, 90, died March 15, 2008, at Hutchinson Hospital.

She was born Feb. 18, 1918, in New York City, New York, the daughter of Eugene and Emma Louise Ernst McCaffrey. She went to Holy Family School in Union City, New Jersey, and Washington Square College, New York City, New York. A longtime Hutchinson resident, she had been a stenographer for the Federal Bureau of Investigation and was the Past Executive Director for the Reno County Mental Health Association.

She belonged to the Church of the Holy Cross where she had served as the past president of the Altar Society, was a member of the former St. Elizabeth Auxiliary and the Hutchinson Hospital Auxiliary, and had also served as past president of the Hospital Auxiliaries of Kansas.

On Feb. 17, 1944, she married Joseph P. O'Sullivan, Jr. in New York City, N.Y. He died Sept. 6, 1998.

Survivors include: two sons, Joseph P. O'Sullivan and wife Diane, Hutchinson, Timothy P. O'Sullivan and wife Patricia, Wichita; two daughters, Kathleen O'Sullivan and husband Hank Sweers, Overland Park, Ks., and Maureen O'Sullivan and husband Tim Rogers, Salina, Ks.; a sister, Kathleen Woods, Little Rock, Ark.; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Patrick E. O'Sullivan.

Parish rosary will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Church of the Holy Cross. Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Church of the Holy Cross, with Father Joseph Eckberg presiding. Friends may sign the register from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday and Tuesday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. The casket will remain closed. Burial will be in Penwell-Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum, Hutchinson.
