Elaine McEntire, 64, died Aug. 17, 2014, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center, Hutchinson. She was born Jan. 28, 1950, in Monticello, Utah, to Jack T. and Joyce McKibben McEntire.

She married Stephen Jefferson in 1969 in Durango, Colo. Elaine graduated from Pueblo Community College with a certificate of nursing and was a registered nurse for Hutchinson Correctional Facility.

Survivors include: children, Tori Glaser and husband Doyle of Hutchinson, Adam Jefferson and wife Sherlyn of Hutchinson, Wayne Jefferson of Lawrence, Kan.; brother, Jack L. McEntire and wife Cindy of Durango, Colo., Pam Kinslow and husband Tom of Bloomfield, NM, Peggy Bellino and husband Nick of Durango, Colo.; and eight grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Cremation has taken place. Memorial service will be 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 22, 2014, at Crossroads Christian Church, Hutchinson, with Pastor Lee Keele presiding. Memorial contributions may be made to Elaine McEntire Memorial Fund, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
