Eldon Lee Belote, 83, of Nickerson, died November 9, 2022, at his home. He was born April 14, 1939, in Sylvia, to Harold I. and Edna E. (Dunn) Belote.
Eldon attended Sterling High School. He worked as a refrigeration air-conditioning technician at KDOT for 33 years. A hard worker, Eldon also worked at McQueen Auto Salvage and did some farming, but was most passionate about auto body repair. He was a member of Fairview United Methodist Church.
Eldon is survived by: his companion, Grace Hockett of Hutchinson; children, Cherl Blanton of Stafford, Delois Marler (Rob) of Newton, Cindy Ragsdale (Jim) of Hutchinson, Donald Belote (Teresa) of Lyons, Rex Belote (Tammy), Lonnie Belote (Dainta), Eldon Belote II, all of Hutchinson; brothers, Wesley Belote of Wichita, Larry Belote of Sylvia; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and many extended family members.
He was preceded in death by: his parents; brothers, Lloyd and Harold; and a granddaughter, Mackenzie Belote.
Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, November 15, 2022, at Elliott Chapel. Burial will follow in Fairlawn Burial Park.

Friends may call from 9 am. to 8 p.m., with family present to receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday at Elliott Mortuary.
