Eleanor Mae Cunningham, 88, died Sept. 12, 2010 at Hospice House, Hutchinson.

She was born Feb. 23, 1922, in Offerle, to Emil and Augusta Gring.

She married Andrew "Andy" William Riedl in 1941. He died July 10, 1960. On July 30, 1961, she married Calvin Gerald "Bud" Cunningham in Dodge City. He died March 30, 1996.

Eleanor was the business manager and co-owner of Christian Service Company, Salina, from 1970 - 1989. She was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, Hutchinson.

Survivors include three sons, Jim Riedl and wife Arlyce, Portland, OR, Reverend Joseph Cunningham and wife Sara, Valpraiso, IN, Calvin Cunningham, Denver, CO; two daughters, Jodi Hertach and husband Maurice, Hutchinson and Jan Atakpa and husband Michael, Wichita; 11 grandchildren; nine great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Alfreda Thompson; two brothers, Alvin and Carl Gring; and a grandchild.

Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 16, 2010, at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, Hutchinson with Reverend John Pool officiating. Friends may call from 1 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Elliott Mortuary with the family present from 7 to 9 p.m.

Burial will be 10 a.m., Friday, Sept. 17, 2010, in Maple Grove Cemetery, Dodge City, Reverend Randall Jahnke officiating. Visitation with the family present will be Thursday from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Swaim Funeral Home, Dodge City.

Memorials may be made to the Lutheran Hour or the Building Fund at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
