Elizabeth Priscilla 'Betty' Schrag, 90, of Hutchinson, died April 4, 2019, at her home. She was born June 9, 1928, in Lushton, NE, the daughter of Peter and Anna (Penner) Kroeker.

Betty received her high school diploma in Dallas, OR, and graduated from Grace Bible Institute, Omaha, NE, where she also spent 11 years on staff as a cook before settling into her life as a homemaker. She accepted Jesus as her Savior in her youth and was a member of Center Amish Mennonite Church at the time of her death.

On August 9, 1963, Betty married Daniel R. Schrag in Dallas, OR. He died July 5, 2015.

She is survived by: daughters, Ann Schrag and Pauline Schrag, both of Hutchinson, Sarah Steckly (Paul), Mallorytown, Ontario, Canada; son, Timothy Schrag, Brockville, Ontario, Canada; eight grandchildren; sisters, Martha Gish (Dave), Orange, CA, Esther Freimark, Newberg, OR; brother, Bernhard Kroeker, Highland, CA; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Betty was preceded in death by her parents and brother, David Kroeker.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Sunday, April 7, 2019, at Center Amish Mennonite Church, 7611 W. Morgan Avenue, Hutchinson, with Pastors Dwight Miller, Gary Miller, and LaVerne Miller officiating. Burial will follow in West Center Cemetery. Friends may call from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Saturday, April 6, 2019, at the church.
