Elizabeth A. Boger's Obituary
Elizabeth A. "Betty" Boger, 87, died Nov. 23, 2006, at Hospice House, Hutchinson.
She was born Nov. 6, 1919, in Odin, the daughter of Robert and Amelia Tinkel Korkish. She graduated from Odin schools. A resident of Hutchinson for 54 years, moving from Hoisington, she was a homemaker and had worked at Hoisington Drug Store.
She belonged to the Church of the Holy Cross, the Altar Society at Holy Cross, she had been an active Scout Mother, PTA, and Room Mother at Graber Elementary School.
On Feb. 23, 1953, she married Lester W. Boger in Hutchinson. He survives.
Other survivors include: a son, Dale and wife Karen, LaJolla, Calif.; a daughter, Marlene Showalter, Topeka; a sister, Theresa Hochstatter, Gladstone, Mo.; and a grandson, Thomas Showalter, Lawrence.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Matilda Finger and Leona Korkish; and a son-in-law, Fred Showalter.
Rosary and prayer service will be at 7 p.m. Sunday at Elliott Mortuary Chapel, Hutchinson. Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday Nov. 27, 2006, at Zion Lutheran Church, 1017 North Washington, with Pastors Robert L. Albin, Henry Hartman and Father Ned Blick presiding. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Fairlawn Burial Park.
Memorials may be sent to the Alzheimer's Association or Zion Lutheran Church, both in care of the funeral home.
