Elizabeth "Ann" Corwin, 78, died Nov. 25, 2007, at Hospice House, Hutchinson.
She was born Dec. 24, 1928, the daughter of Melvin and Edna Hilgenfeldt Spencer. A Hutchinson resident since 1951, moving from Little River, she was retired from OK Service Station.
She belonged to Mitchell Chapel United Methodist Church, and was a member of RSVP and Elmdale Senior Center.
On Sept. 24, 1944, she married Clifford E. "Cliff" Corwin. He died on Feb. 11, 1989.
Survivors include: two sons, Tim and wife Carolyn Corwin, and Kim and Nancy Corwin, all of Hutchinson; one daughter, Linda and Mike Gunther, Hutchinson; one son-in-law, Calvin Stephenson, Benton; two brothers, Jack Spencer, Grants Pass, Or., and Melvin Spencer Jr., McPherson; two sisters, Ruth Buss and Carol Chlumsky, both of McPherson; nine grandchildren, Julie Graves, Chelsea, Nicole, Mitchell, and Ben Corwin, Tammy Kolbeck, Karen Peraita, Lynn Hensley and Jeremy Stephenson; 10 great-grandchildren, Tyler and Dylan Graves, Trista Patterson, John and Megan Peraita, Preston, Peyton Kolbeck, Fox, Gage, and Shelby Hensley; and one great- great-grandchild, Owen Bailey.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Cheryl Stephenson; a brother, Bill Spencer; four sisters, Bertha Mathes, Fern Anderson, Hazel Bacon, and infant Rosalie Spencer; and a great-granddaughter, Amanda Kolbeck.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Elliott Mortuary Chapel, with Pastor Matt Stafford presiding. Burial will be in Fairlawn Burial Park. Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Casket will remain closed.
