Obituary

Elizabeth "Libby" Holtzclaw Dahlberg, 89, died Sept. 6, 2008, at Dillon Living Center, Hutchinson.

She was born Sept. 6, 1919, in Hutchinson, the daughter of Charles R. and Anna M. Hadley Holtzclaw.

She graduated from Hutchinson High School and attended Adela Hale Business College. A resident of Hutchinson, she was a bookkeeper and loan processor at Bankers Investments Company, Hutchinson.

She belonged to the First Christian Church, Social Order of Bosiant, R.S.V.P., A.A.R.P., and after retiring she volunteered at Union Valley School as a reading tutor, and at Hutchinson Public Library as a tutor for English as a second language. She enjoyed exercising with ladies at the Lutheran Church, until recently.

On June 8, 1941, she married Carl V. Dahlberg in Hutchinson. He died Feb. 11, 1983.

Survivors include: son, James and wife Mary Lou, Oklahoma City; daughter, Mary Wolfersberger and husband Robert, Topeka; nieces, Pat Miller and Kay Engler; two grandchildren, Charles Wolfersberger and wife Dayna, and Mark Wolfersberger and wife Rebecca; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Charlene Engler.

Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday Sept. 11, 2008, in Fairlawn Burial Park, Hutchinson, with Pastor John Warring presiding. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson, with the family present from 7 to 8 p.m.
