Elizabeth Louise Gordon, 79, died December 10, 2025, at Mennonite Friendship Communities, South Hutchinson. She was born May 2, 1946, in Hutchinson, KS, to Ray Eugene and Emla Louise (Parker) Swank.

Elizabeth dedicated herself fully to her family and her unwavering faith. Her family was her pride and joy and she cherished every moment spent with them, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Elizabeth loved her Countryside Baptist Church community, but she always held a special place in her heart for Full Gospel Assembly Church, in which she was an active and faithful member until they closed their doors.

In her spare time, Elizabeth loved solving crossword puzzles and listening to her favorite nostalgic melodies of old country music.

On November 6, 1965, she married Edward S. Gordon in Salina, KS. They shared 55 years of marriage, prior to his death on March 22, 2017.

Elizabeth is survived by: her children, Denise (Roger) Anderson, Steven (Miranda) Gordon, Kevin (Becky) Gordon; sister, Ruth (Darren) Muth; 7 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and four brothers, Eugene Swank, Vernon Swank, Floyd Swank and Paul Swank.

Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will take place at 10 a.m. Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at Elliott Chapel with Shawn Eckhoff officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery, Hutchinson.

Friends may sign her memorial book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, at Elliott Mortuary.
