Elizabeth Marie "Tudy" Pisar, 79, died Thursday, Sept. 19, 2013, at Hospice House, Hutchinson. She was born April 6, 1934, at Protection, the daughter of John and Agnes Wohler Wasinger.
She was a graduate of St. Mary's Cathedral in 1952, attended Hutchinson Community College and had been a bookkeeper for various companies, and a bookkeeper for the family business, D and B Construction for 18 years. Tudy's hobbies included quilting, knitting, computer games, was an avid reader, painting and spending time with her dog Scruffy. On April 16, 1955, she married Farrell "Flip" Leon Pisar in St. Anthony's, Wichita. He survives. Other survivors and their spouses include: two sons, Dane (Lora) of Hutchinson, Dan (Judy) of Midwest City, Okla.; two brothers, Don (Sandy) Wasinger of California, Dewayne (Linda) Wasinger of Minden, Nev.; a sister, Rita Siedel of Wichita; two step grandchildren, Eric Haskins and Kelsey Haskins; and many loving nieces and nephews. Elizabeth was preceded in death by two brothers, William and Jerry Wasinger.
Parish rosary will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2013, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m., with Celebrant Father Ned J. Blick officiating. Private inurnment will be Wednesday at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Bluff City, with Father Michael Peltzer, St. Joan of Arc Parish, Harper County, presiding. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday and Monday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. Memorial gifts may be made to the church, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
