Obituary

Ella May Bailey, 84, died May 11, 2013, at Hester Care Center, Hutchinson. She was born Aug. 3, 1928, in Hutchinson, the daughter of Ina Mae and George C. Cornwell. She graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1948 and attended Hutchinson Community College. Ella May worked for the Kansas Grain and Feed Dealers Association for 17 years and the Kansas State Fair Offices for three years.

A lifelong Hutchinson resident, she was a member of First Presbyterian Church.

On Aug. 31, 1951, she married Joseph W. Bailey in Hutchinson. She was preceded in death by her husband and a son, Mark Cloyed Bailey.

Survivors include: daughter, Kristine Bailey Norris and husband Scott of Bennington; two grandsons, Andrew Norris of Redlands, Calif. and Wyatt Norris of Boulder, Colo.; a brother, George Cornwell of Spring, Texas; a sister, Margaret Stansel of Magnolia, Texas; and two nieces and three nephews.

A private family service will be held in Eastside Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Coalition for Pulmonary Fibrosis, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N Main, Hutchinson KS 67501.
