Ella Mae Jackson, 91, died Sunday, Oct. 25, 2015. She was born April 12, 1924, in Graves County, Ky., the daughter of Max and Grace (Gore) Curlin. She was a 1941 graduate of Beaumont High School, St. Louis, Mo., and a member of First Church of the Nazarene. Ella Mae was a nurse aide for the Shriners Hospital in St. Louis for 12 years.

On Oct. 2, 1942, she married Everett Lee Jackson in St. Louis, Mo. He died Oct. 2, 1999. Her daughter and grandchildren survive: Diana Barker (Jessy) of Hutchinson, Christina Lynn Barker of South Hutchinson, Julie Lynnette Barker of Wichita and Andrew Lee Barker (Saranne) of Cary, N.C. She was preceded in death by her brother and sister, Robert Curlin and Camilla Tharpe.

Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 28, 2015, at Mennonite Manor Chapel, with Pastor Bones Nay presiding. Burial will be in Fairlawn Burial Park, Hutchinson. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday, with the family present from 6 to 7 p.m., at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.
