Elsie M. Briscoe, 74, died March 1, 2016, at Lake Point Nursing Home, Wichita. She was born June 10, 1941, in Dorrance, to James L. and Hattie M. (Sulc) Gustason.

Elsie graduated from Wilson High School and Salt City Business College. She was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church. Elsie adored and loved spending time with her granddaughter.

On March 31, 1961, she married John "John T." Briscoe Jr. in Wilson. He died Feb. 17, 2012. Elsie is survived by: daughter, Theresa Mass and husband David; son, John M. Briscoe and significant other, Lee Ann Carr; granddaughter, Raven Jewel Briscoe; brother, Vernon Gustason; and sister, Helen Davis. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Frank and Ernie Gustason.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 5, 2016, at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, 407 E. 12th Ave., Hutchinson, with Reverend Chad Trunkhill officiating. Burial will follow in Bean Cemetery, Little River. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. with family to receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.
