Elsie Mae Jenkins' Obituary
Elsie Mae Jenkins, 93, died June 4, 2013, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. She was born April 9, 1920, in Salem, Texas, to Joe and Bessie Dunn Graham.
Elsie had been a Hutchinson resident since 1935, except four years near Hot Springs, Ark. She was a mother, grandmother, and homemaker.
She married Vernie Jenkins Jan 15, 1938 in Wichita. He died Jan. 25, 1997. Survivors include: her three grandsons, Chris, Tim, and Robin Jenkins; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Skip Jenkins; and sister, Jesse Fulks Walter.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday, June 7, 2013, at Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson, with Pastor Wayne Pittman presiding. Burial will be in Penwell-Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum, Hutchinson. Friends may call from noon to 9 p.m. Thursday and 9 a.m. to service time Friday at Elliott Mortuary.
