Elsie Fern Law, 80, of Hutchinson, died Saturday, November 11, 2017, at Brookdale of Hutchinson. She was born March 8, 1937, in Gridley, the daughter of Alva and Bertha (Long) Cokeley. Elsie graduated from Haven High School. After raising her children, she worked as a cook for North Reno Grade School and Nickerson High School. Elsie was an avid quilter, golfer, and camper, and she and Glenn spent many winters as 'snowbirds' in Arizona and south Texas. She loved sports of all kinds, especially watching her children and grandchildren participate.

On April 10, 1955, Elsie married Glenn R. Law in Hutchinson. He died January 26, 2015. They shared nearly 60 years of marriage.

She is survived by: sons, Tony and wife Linda of Hutchinson, Kelly and wife Billie Jo of Topeka; grandchildren, Stacey Holsinger (Rob), Stephanie Glazier (Jesse), Derek Law (Megan), Alex Law (Molly), Katie Twist (Phillip), Matt Law, Jamison Law (Ramon Valdez), Bethany Law (Rolando Garcia), Allen Nelson (Keisha), Nick Nelson; nine great-grandchildren, and one on the way; sister, Ramona Yorgensen (Melvin) of Gridley; brother, John Cokeley (Helen) of Stafford; daughter-in-law, Melissa Law (Barry, deceased) of Hutchinson; sisters-in-law, Nancy Cokeley of Haven, Lucille Law of Bethany, OK; brother-in-law, Jake Avery of Hutchinson; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; husband, Glenn; son, Barry; sisters, Pearlie House, Wilma Freeman, Marjorie Johnson, Gladys Avery, Rose Cokeley; and brothers, Bud, Bill, and Major Cokeley.

Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, November 15, 2017, at Elliott Chapel, with the Reverend Claire Gadberry officiating. Burial will follow in Fairlawn Burial Park, Hutchinson. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, with family present from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Elliott Mortuary.
