Obituary

Elvin E. Kitch, 91, died July 27, 2006, at Galichia Heart Hospital, Wichita.

He was born Sept. 27, 1914, in Partridge, the son of Grover M. and Ida Mae Whitson Kitch. He graduated in 1933 from Partridge High School. A longtime Reno County resident, he worked at Davis-Child Chevrolet for 40 years, retiring in 1976, as service manager.

He belonged to First United Methodist Church, Hutchinson.

In February 1936, he married Lela Mae Eisiminger. She died in February 1973. In August 1973, he married Letha C. Shea in Hutchinson. She died December 2003.

Survivors include: his children, Paula Showalter and husband, Patrick, Wichita, Shelia Kitch and Myrna Arb, Granby, Mo., Andrea Millspaugh and husband, Richard, Overland Park, Vicki Runella and husband, Neil, West Des Moines, Iowa, and Rick Kitch and wife, Cynde, Hutchinson; a brother, Ralph Kitch and wife, Charla, Tulsa, Okla.; 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and numerous nephews and nieces.

He was preceded in death by a stepdaughter, Laquita Bass; three brothers, Charles, Grover Jr. and Gene Kitch; and three sisters, Hazel Bauer, Clara Feese and Awilda Kitch.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson, with the Rev. Mark Conard presiding. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Fairlawn Burial Park.

Memorials may be sent to the Hutchinson Humane Society or to the First United Methodist Church of Hutchinson, both in care of the funeral home.
