Enid L. Stutzman, 97, died on Feb. 21, 2015, at Meadowlark Hills in Manhattan, Kan. Enid was born on Oct. 4, 1917, in Harper, to Sankey and Louise (Nester) Coberly.
She was raised in Kingman and graduated from Kingman High School in 1936. After graduation, she worked as an operator for the telephone exchange in Kingman, and later worked as a secretary at the Standard Oil Company offices in Wichita.
She met Jerry Stutzman in Wichita and they were married on Oct. 15, 1948. He died in Oct. 2000.
Enid's only sibling, her brother, Eldon and his wife Mary M. (Tommy) Coberly, both died in 2013. Enid is survived by: her son and daughter-in-law, David Stutzman and Wendy Blank of Manhattan; a grandson, Thomas Stutzman of Pittsburg; nephews, Kenneth Coberly and his wife Linda of Redmond, Wash., and Robert Coberly and his wife Nina of Taipei, Taiwan; and many Stutzman family nephews and nieces.
Her life will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 26, 2015, at Trinity United Methodist Church, Hutchinson, where she was a member for many years. Burial will follow at Walnut Hill Cemetery, Kingman. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. Enid's preference was for memorials in lieu of flowers.
