Obituary

Ervin Reinert, 92, died November 9, 2023, at his home. He was born November 29, 1930, in Lincoln, Kansas, to Edwin and Anna (Panzer) Reinert.

July 14th, 1997 he married Kathy D. Clary. They were married 26 years.

Ervin was a cattle rancher and a business owner of a 17 line trucking company.  He was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church.

Ervin is survived by: wife, Kathy Reinert, Hutchinson; daughters, Jeri Thetford (Steve), Hutchinson, Jalaine Witham (Marty), Wichita, Jacqie Schmidt (Scott), Hutchinson; sons, Joe Reinert (Debbie) Cassidy, Kenny Reinert, New Mexico, Gary Reinert (Susan), Minneapolis, Steven Schmidt, Salt Lake City; sister, Lois McClelland; brother, Lonnie Reinert; grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister Eileen; brother, Jarrold.

Memorial service will be 1 pm Wednesday, November 15, 2023, at Elliott Mortuary. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service (12-1). Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may sign the book from 9 am to 5 pm Monday and Tuesday at Elliott Mortuary. Honorary pallbearers will be John Schmidt of Pawnee Rock, Kansas and  Elmer Kroeker of Inman Kansas.
