Obituary

Esther Opal Harrah, 87, died Sept. 1, 2010, at Hospice House.

She was born May 1, 1923, in Moundridge to Silvanus and Anna Schrag Stucky.

She married Lee Harrah on June 1, 1963 in Moundridge.

Esther was an L.P.N. at Grace Hospital, St. Elizabeth's Hospital, Hutchinson, and Bethel Deaconess Hospital, Newton. She was a teacher's aide at Friendship Daycare. A member of First Mennonite Church in Hutchinson, she was also a Sunday school teacher for 43 years.

Survivors include: her husband, Lee Harrah, of the home; a daughter, Kris Hornbaker and husband Judd; three granddaughters, Anna, Alicia and Abigail Hornbaker, all of Hutchinson.

She was preceded in death by a son, Sean Harrah; three brothers, David, Vic and Virgil Stucky; and a sister, Elsie Stucky.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 4, 2010, at First Mennonite Church, 52 Rambler Rd, Hutchinson. Burial will be in Fairlawn Burial Park.

Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday with the family to receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Elliott Mortuary.

Memorials may be made to Hospice House or First Mennonite Church in care of the mortuary.
