Esther M. Keevert Ewing, 93, died Sept. 28, 2006, at Hester Care Center, Wesley Towers.

She was born Oct. 18, 1912, in Winfield, the daughter of Clinton and Ruby Sea- bridge Haworth. A resident of Hutchinson since 1954, she was a homemaker.

On Sept. 20, 1931, she married Charles H. Keevert. He died Feb. 8, 1980. On Dec. 31, 1982, she married Morton Ewing. He died July 13, 1993.

Survivors include: four sons, Gary, Enterprise, Ala., Charles, South Hutchinson, Ellis, Willow Springs, N.C., and Louis, Salem, Ore.; a daughter, Rita Cox, Springfield, Mo.; two stepdaughters, Carolyn "Kay" Case, San Jose, Calif., and Marilyn "Cookie" Jenkins, Loveland, Colo.; a brother, Chalmer Haworth, Atlanta, Kan.; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Clinton James "Jim" Keevert; a daughter, Betty LeAnn Vieta; three brothers, Shelton, Lowell and Wilber Haworth; and two sisters, Laura Wingert and Carol Smith.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. Graveside service will be at 2:30 p.m. Monday in Burden Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the funeral home.
