Obituary

Esther Bauman (Haselden) Wasinger, died March 15, 2013, at the Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. She was born January 28, 1936, in Logan, Utah, the daughter of Charles Jacob and Lillie Mae Hunt Bauman. She was a homemaker and mother. Esther was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and volunteered at the Hutchinson Public Library and Victory In The Valley.

On December 7, 2002, she married Felix R. Wasinger. He survives.

Other survivors include: six children, Rebecca Schoeffler of Rose Hill, Leah Bergmann of Clearwater, LuAnn Dove of Hutchinson, David Wayne Haselden of Mrytle Beach, SC, Kat Chrisman of Rose Hill, and Kirk Haselden of Issaquah, WA; four stepdaughters, Karen Washburn of Hutchinson, Mary Grotz of Houston, TX, Joan Rosenberg of Lincoln, NE, and Laura Lockee of Pierce, NE; four siblings, Charles Bauman, Charlene Weaver, Ruth Bauman, and Olin J. Bauman all of Utah; 37 grandchildren; and 31 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two grandsons, Adam H. and Brett Spackman, and a great granddaughter, Marissa Idel Stephens.

Funeral will be at 9 a.m. Tuesday March 19, 2013, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 518 East 43, Hutchinson, with Richard Knapp presiding. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday and Monday with family to receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. Burial will be at 11 a.m., Wednesday, March 20, 2013, in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Hays, KS. Memorials may be made to the donor's choice, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 North Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
