Ethel May Shuff, 100, died Dec. 23, 2007, at Hester Care Center.

She was born April 3, 1907, in Plevna, the daughter of Benjamin and Blanche Holmes McRevey. She graduated from Plevna High School in 1925 and attended McPherson College. A longtime resident of Plevna, she was a homemaker and farmwife.

She belonged to Trinity United Methodist Church, E.H.U. and the China Painting Club and was a Plevna 4-H leader.

On Aug. 7, 1927, she married Harold W. Shuff at her home, Plevna. He died Aug. 14, 2001.

Survivors include: three daughters, Reta Ann Miller, Plevna, Irene Mershon, San Diego, and Sharon Martin, Church Point, La.; a sister Shirley Sturdevant, Iowa City, Iowa; a granddaughter; and a great-granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by a son, Harold "Dick" Shuff; a brother, Floyd McRevey; and a sister, Mable Kelly.

Cremation has taken place. There are no services planned at this time. Friends may sign the register from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. Inurnment will be held at a later date in Penwell-Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum, Hutchinson.

Memorials may be sent to the donor's choice, in care of the funeral home.
