Etta Lorene Getz's Obituary
Etta LoRene Getz, 81, died Dec. 8, 2005, at Hutchinson Hospital.
She was born Jan. 10, 1924, in Sheridan County, the daughter of Lewis Artie and Anna Vera Shoemaker Teel. She graduated from Lenore High School and Fort Hays Teachers College with a teaching certificate. A resident of Hutchinson since 1966, she was a teacher, a motel manager at The Emperial 400 and The Uptown Wheatheart, and was a homemaker.
She belonged to Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and the LDS Family History Center.
On March 4, 1951, she married Elton Conrad Getz. He survives.
Other survivors include: a son, Kerry, Hutchinson; a sister, Isa Rumback, Hutchinson; two grandchildren; and a great-grandson.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Francis Teel; and two sisters, Beryl Martin and Joan Burr.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson, with Bishop Bower presiding. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Fairlawn Burial Park.
