Obituary

Etta Mae Hubbard, 77, died Nov. 15, 2005, in Hutchinson Hospital.

She was born May 24, 1928, in Hutchinson, the daughter of Willard "Bill" and Elsie Mae Cooper Lowrey. A lifetime Hutchinson resident, she worked for Dillon's Bakery, retiring in 1990.

She belonged to Westbrook Baptist Church and Bakery Confectionery Workers Union.

On Nov. 9, 1945, she married William A. "Bill" Hubbard. He died Nov. 23, 1987.

Survivors include: a son, James Hubbard, Hutchinson; a daughter, Ruth Sutton, Hutchinson; two brothers, Jack Lowrey, Hoyt, and Jerry Lowrey, Hutchinson; three sisters, Mary Current, Jean Walker and Linda Anderson, all of Hutchinson; five grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Westbrook Baptist Church, Hutchinson, with Bob Shelton presiding. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday and from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. Burial will be in Fairlawn Burial Park, Hutchinson.
