Eva Martha Foos, 93, died Feb. 15, 2008, at Hospice House, Hutchinson.
She was born Nov. 15, 1914, in Bazine, the daughter of Jacob H. and Mary Scheuerman Staley. She graduated from Bazine High School in 1933. A resident of Hutchinson since 1999, formerly a longtime resident of Bazine, she was a farm wife and had worked at Ralph's IGA, Bazine.
She belonged to Bazine United Methodist Church and had been attending South Hutchinson United Methodist Church. She had served in various capacities within her church including president of United Methodist Women, taught Sunday school, Bible school, and was a choir member. She was also a 4-H Leader and active in Senior Citizens.
On June 17, 1934, she married Benjamin Ernest Foos in Bazine. He died Sept. 8, 1996.
Survivors include: a daughter, Adrienne Dauber and husband Dick; two grandchildren, Faith Krehbiel and husband Jack, and Jeffrey Dauber, all of Hutchinson; and two great-grandchildren, Cherish and Jacob.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Samuel Staley; and three sisters, Mattie DeWald, Helen Foos and Beulah Foos.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at South Hutchinson United Methodist Church, with Pastor Tim Ault-Duell presiding. Graveside service will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday in Bazine Cemetery, Bazine. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.
