Evelyn C. Dukelow's Obituary
Evelyn C. Dukelow, 97, died Feb. 8, 2008, at Hutchinson Hospital, Hutchinson.
She was born Dec. 19, 1910, in Hutchinson,the daughter of William and Lillian Peck Ellsworth. A 1929 Hutchinson High School graduate. She lived in Hutchinson, since 1980, moving from Cleveland, Ohio, and previously from Denver, New Orleans, San Mateo, Calif., and Atlanta. She was a homemaker.
She belonged to the First Presbyterian Church and the Hutchinson Town Club.
On May 22, 1941, she married Samuel G. Dukelow. He died Sept. 20, 2003.
Survivors include: a son, William T. Dukelow, Hutchinson, and Metairie, La.; brother-in-law; John Dukelow, Hutchinson; sisters-in-law; Louise Dietz and husband Dylce, Ottawa, Pauline Houtz Dukelow, Salina and Jeannette Foster, Tulsa; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends in Medicine Lodge, KS and other parts of the U.S.A.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Thelma M. Rittgers.
Memorial service will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the First Presbyterian Church Chapel. Graveside service will be at noon Saturday in the Eastside Cemetery with the Rev. Tim Soule presiding. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday and Friday at Elliott Mortuary, with the family present from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday.
Memorials may be sent to, the First Presbyterian Church, or the Good Samaritan Fund at Wesley Towers, in care of the mortuary.
