Evelyn Mae Martens, 95, died Sept. 26, 2009, at Golden Plains Health Care Center, Hutchinson. She was born Aug. 8, 1914, in Roxbury, KS, to Phillip and Minty Ratliff Hart.
She married Joseph Willis Motti in 1939. He died in 1947. On July 11, 1960, she married Otto M. Martens in Miami, Okla. He died March 1, 1976.
Evelyn was a Nurse Aide, and she was a member of the South Hutchinson Christian Church.
Survivors include: a daughter, Willamae "Willy" Motti O'Neal and her husband, Don, Hutchinson; three grandsons, Tom O'Neal and his wife, Brenda, Chapman, Rob O'Neal and his wife, Laura, and Tim O'Neal; five great-grandchildren, Jordan, Riley, Kalie, Mason, Deegan; several nieces and nephews; and a granddog, Taco.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Oscar, Lafe and Cleo Hart; and five sisters, Edith Carey, Lola Morris, Sara Raber, Margaret Magazine and Hallie Winfree.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 28, 2009, at Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson, with Pastor Wayne Pittman officiating. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday at the mortuary.
