Evelyn L. McKinney, 94, died Jan. 25, 2013, at the Good Samaritan Center. She was born Nov. 9, 1918, in Riverdale, Calif., the daughter of Joseph and Effie Braddy Smiley. Evelyn married Russell C. McKinney on Nov. 23, 1956, in Howard, Kan. They were residents of Wichita, Fredonia, and Chetopa, Kan., before moving to Hutchinson.

She is survived by: her husband, Russell; nephew, James D. Ohl; great-nephews, Josh and Justin Ohl; great-niece, Jamie Benson (Danny) and their daughter, Harmony; sister-in-law, Zora Johnson and her children, Russell Johnson (Vicki), Ronna Oliver (Mike), and Tracie Johnson (Curt).

Memorial graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday Feb. 2, 2013, in El Paso Cemetery, Derby, with the Rev. Joseph S. Rychcik presiding. Friends may sign the register through the week at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. Memorials may be sent to New Covenant Presbyterian Church, in care of the mortuary.
