Evelyn "Jane" Meyer, 82, died Feb. 1, 2011, at Hospice House, Hutchinson.

She was born July 30, 1928, in South Vienna, Ohio, the daughter of Chester and Bernice Lannon Queen.

Evelyn was a homemaker and had worked at the B and Main Dillons Store, Jim's Market and most recently was assisting her son at Good Vibrations Auto Sound.

On Sept. 7, 1950, she married William U. Meyer in Springfield, Ohio. He died Oct. 31, 1989.

Other survivors include: a son, William III and wife Barbara; a daughter, Janie Carson, all of Hutchinson; two brothers, Phillip and Dale Queen, both of Ohio; six grandchildren;, Tara Schroeder, Chris Carson and wife Valerie, Alli Carson, Mandy Meyer, Evan Monahan and husband Joel and Mitchell Meyer.

She was preceded in death by her mother, father, two brothers, Millard and Robert Queen and a sister, Joanne Queen.

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 4, 2011, at Mt. Olivet Worship Center, 18 17th Crestview with Pastors Kenn and Luann Haddaway officiating. Inurnment will be at a later time at Eastside Cemetery. Friends may sign her book 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday at Elliott Mortuary.
