Evelyn Margaret Ortner, 95, died March 31, 2014, at Thorne Care Center, Hutchinson. She was born March 27, 1919, in Blaine County, Okla.

On Aug. 20, 1935, she married Vernon E. Ortner in Oklahoma City, Okla. He died Aug. 18, 1993. Survivors include: daughter, Janice Sexson and husband Denny, Hutchinson; a daughter-in-law, Joan Ortner, Burleson, Texas; grandsons, Dennis Sexson, Granbury, Texas, and Derek Ortner, Olathe, Kan.; granddaughters; Melissa Hanson, Gentry, Ark., and Lisa Ortner, Burleson, Texas; great-grandchildren, Matthew, Jonathan and Krista Hanson, Gentry, Ark., Mickynzie, Brenna and Shaylee Sexson, Granbury, Texas, Grayson and Hayden Ortner, Olathe, Kan.; and a sister, Lee Voth Withrow, Port Orange, Fla.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Neota; husband, Vernon; son, Ron Ortner; and a sister, Glendora Carpenter.

Memorial service will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, May 4, 2014, at Seventh-day Adventist Church with Pastor Jim Hoehn presiding. A private burial took place in Penwell-Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum, Hutchinson. Memorials may be made to the Seventh-day Adventist Church, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N.
