Evelyn Muriel Railsback Nunemaker, 92, died Feb. 4, 2015, at Hospice House, Hutchinson. She was born Oct. 9, 1922, in rural Langdon, to Claude and Eva (Egy) Railsback.
Evelyn spent 92 years surrounded by love, family and friends from the moment she was born until the very end. She was an avid scrabble player, reader, gardener, and Jayhawks fan. She had a beautiful life and frequently expressed gratitude for all she experienced.
She married Robert Earl "Bob" Nunemaker on June 1, 1946, in Langdon. He died May 18, 2004. Survivors include: sons, Bruce Nunemaker of Hutchinson, Lee Nunemaker (Brenda) of Pretty Prairie; daughters, Annette Wood (David) of Wichita, Carol Johnson (Steven) of Manchester, Maine; and three grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; daughter, Janice Nunemaker; and four siblings.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 9, 2015, at South Hutchinson United Methodist Church with Pastor Warren Hett presiding. Burial will be in Langdon Cemetery, Langdon. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. with the family to greet friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.
