Everett G. Inghram, 88, died May 11, 2012, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. He was born March 28, 1924, in Newton, the son of Glenn and Nellie Kizer Inghram. He was a retired machinist with the former Master Machine Company and Lyons Machine Company.
Everett belonged to the Bob Campbell VFW Post No. 1361. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II on the USS Battleship Maryland.
In 1948, he married Lois Jean Meier in Newton. She preceded him in death. On Aug. 12, 1978, he married Wanda Moore in Hutchinson. She died Aug. 9, 1999.
Survivors include: three sons, David, and Ronald, both of Hutchinson, and Richard, Stillwell, KS; a granddaughter, Lily Inghram; and a sister, Ruth Nebergall, Hesston.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Kenneth and Bob, and a sister, Marie Spangler.
Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday May 15, 2012, at Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson, with Tony Perkins presiding. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday and Monday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson, with the family to receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Elliott Chapel. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery, Darlow, with military graveside rites conducted by the U.S. Navy Honor Guard. Memorials may be sent to the donor's choice, in care of the mortuary.
