Obituary

Everett H. Snowbarger, 90, died Feb. 5, 2010, at Hospice House, Hutchinson.

He was born March 18, 1919, in Sylvia to George and Clara Yust Snowbarger.

He graduated from Sylvia High School in 1937.

On Sept. 10, 1940, he married Gladys Margaret Moran in Sylvia. She died Jan. 4, 2006. Everett retired as President of Dillon Companies after 48 years. He was a member of the Eastwood Church of Christ.

Survivors include: son, Richard and wife Pamela, Richardson, Texas; three grandsons, Tugg Snowbarger, San Diego, Calif., Troy Snowbarger and wife Tabitha, Phnom Penh, Cambodia, and Tadd Snowbarger and wife Kami, Jenks, Okla.; one granddaughter, Stacie Mallory and husband Bryan, Raymore, Mo.; two great-granddaughters, Leah Snowbarger and Tatum Mallory; and two great-grandsons, Kellan Snowbarger and Jackson Mallory.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys Snowbarger; son, Dennis Snowbarger; brother, Ralph Snowbarger; and four sisters, Mary Wyer, Edna Snowbarger, Ethel Melville and Lorraine Thompson.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 9, 2010, at Eastwood Church of Christ, Hutchinson, with Jimie-Wray Mead officiating. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday with the family present Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. Burial will be in Penwell-Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum, Hutchinson. Memorials may be made to Eastwood Church of Christ in care of the mortuary.
