PARTRIDGE – Fannie J. Yoder, 81, died Dec. 9, 2014, at her home in Partridge. She was born Feb. 10, 1933, to Jerry J. and Amanda (Mullet) Yoder in Weatherford, Oklahoma.
She was a homemaker and volunteer clerical assistant for Dr. Torrence at Hutchinson Correctional Facility for 20 years. Fannie later went to work at Mennonite Friendship Communities as the resident transportation driver and a dietary aide. She was a member of Center Amish Mennonite Church. On May 12, 1955, she married Mervin S. Yoder in Garnett. He survives. Other survivors include: children, Mae Yoder of Partridge, Edith Shenk and husband Harry of Partridge, Richard Yoder and wife Linda of Amboy, Indiana, Margarita Yoder of Lawrence, Diane Smith and husband Jimmy of Pretty Prairie, Jacinda Yoder of Hutchinson; sisters, Emma Yoder of Garnett, Cora Miller of Melvern, Miriam Jackson and husband Jerry of Adrian, Missouri; brother, Ervin Yoder and wife Esther of Garnett; sister-in-law, Ida Yoder and husband Ira of Garnett; 17 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Ray Yoder; brothers, Benedict Yoder, Joe Yoder and Ira Yoder.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 13, 2014, at Center Amish Mennonite Church. Burial will follow in West Center Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 12, 2014, at Center Amish Mennonite Church.
