INMAN - Faye Johnson, 77, died Jan. 23, 2007, at Pleasant View Home, Inman.
She was born Feb. 8, 1929, in Little River, the daughter of Clifford A. and Delia Albertine Lindholm Carlson. In 1946, she graduated from Inman High School. A longtime resident of Windom and Inman, she was a secretary at First Baptist Church in Hutchinson until her marriage, and she was then a homemaker and choir director at Andover Lutheran Church for 18 years. She also taught Sunday school.
She belonged to Emanuel Lutheran Church, Hutchinson, and was a former member of Andover Lutheran Church, Windom. She was a member of WELCA, Fellowship Groups at the Emanuel Lutheran and EHU and Midway Neighbors, both of Inman.
She enjoyed the outdoors and farming with her husband.
She married Virgil Dean Johnson at Andover Lutheran Church in Windom. He died Jan. 13, 2007.
Survivors include: two sons, Darrel, Richardson, Texas, and Darry Cave Creek, Ariz.; a daughter, Dianne Froese, McPherson; a brother, Ramon Carlson, Bella Vista, Ark.; a sister, Joan Knackstedt, Phillipsburg; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Maxine Lackey and Delores Unruh; and a granddaughter.
Memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Andover Lutheran Church, Windom, with Pastors Tom Hallowell, Tim Carey and Loren Mai officiating. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. today and Thursday at Elliott Mortuary and from 9 to 4 p.m. Friday. Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Emanuel Lutheran Church. Cremation has taken place. Burial will be in Andover Lutheran Church Cemetery.
