Marjorie Faye (Scantlin) Stalcup, 95, of Hutchinson, died December 13, 2023, at Waldron Place. She was born April 24, 1928, in Ft. Smith, Arkansas, to Dewey Cecil and Aubrey Faye (Schell) Scantlin.

Faye graduated from Haven High School in 1946. On April 4 1947, Faye married Harold Stalcup, at Pleasant Grove Church, Burrton. They shared 74 years of marriage together on their farm, which they lived on until January 2021. She was a member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church, Burrton.

Faye is survived by: daughter, Kathy Geffert (Lynn), Haven; sons, Roger Stalcup, Lawrence, Kevin Stalcup, Chandler, Arizona; grandchildren, Kyle Geffert (Megan), Haven, Keri English (Jared), Grain Valley, Missouri; great-grandchildren, Kyler and Kayden Geffert, Haven, Ainsley and Oliver English, Grain Valley, Missouri; and sister, Shirley Waddle, Topeka.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; husband; brothers, JD Scantlin, Dan Scantlin, Don Scantlin; sisters, Virginia Robidoux, Emma Lou Friend, MaryJean Pitts; brothers-in-law, Marvin Friend, Joe Pitts, Richard Waddle; sisters-in-law, Grace Scantlin and Patricia Scantlin.

Funeral service will be 11 am Friday, December 22, 2023, at Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church, Burrton. Burial will follow in Burrton Cemetery at 2 pm. Friends may call from 9 am to 8 pm on Thursday at Elliott Mortuary.
