Fern Garnett's Obituary
Fern Garnett, 84, died April 25, 2011. She was born March 23, 1927, at Rolla, the daughter of Henry and Dorothy Brown Ahrens.
She married Gerral "Leo" Garnett on Feb. 16, 1946, in Elkhart. He died Nov. 18, 1962.
Survivors include: sons, LeRoy Garnett and wife Karen of Emporia, Dean "Deano" Garnett, and Rick Garnett and wife Tammy, all of Hutchinson; a daughter, Patti Karg and husband Rollin of Kechi; a brother, Marion Brookshier of Prescott, Ariz.; a sister, Joanne Beesley of Tulsa, Okla.; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Friday, April 29, 2011, at Elliott Mortuary. Burial will be in Fairlawn Burial Park. Visitation will be Thursday 1 to 9 p.m., with the family to greet friends 7 to 8 p.m., all at Elliott Mortuary.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, sent in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
