Florene Lee Shelley, 90, of Hutchinson, passed away June 28, 2019, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. She was born July 3, 1928, in Hutchinson, to Alfred Farlow and Ethyl Irene (Dewhirst) Shelley.

Florene was a 1946 graduate of Hutchinson High School, and received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English from the University of Kansas in 1952. She retired as a Registered Dietician at Methodist Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska, after 25 years of service. Florene is survived by: nieces, Cindy English, Elana Peterson and Lorie Wolf; and fifteen great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, William Shelley.

Graveside service will be on her birthday at 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 3, 2019, at Fairlawn Burial Park, 2401 Carey Boulevard, Hutchinson. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday at Elliott Mortuary.
